Lavender moon cupcakes

Daddy was out so me and Lucy treated ourselves to cupcakes before bed! We headed out with no specific destination, but a very specific need. 

First, we came to Firehook. They are open until 7 - amazing. They had lots of good looking cookies, but a tiny selection of only chocolate cupcakes so we passed.

Next was Society Fair. No cupcakes, but huge cake slides for $6. That was more than what I was looking for, and to Lucy slices of cake are not cupcakes.

Next was Bread & Chocolate. I remember when this placed used to be cool. Now, it looks so tired - and the four cupcakes in the display were not happy cupcakes.

Finally! We made it to Lavender Moon Cupcakes. We had only been once before with the Sharkeys when they came to visit shortly after we moved to Old Town in 2011. This was the spot! Lots of beautiful cupcakes and Lucy got the lemon raspberry. There was another mom there with her little girl doing the same thing as us - very child friendly. Lucy sat at the kids table and there were other cute tables with pretty lights - since it was dark out it look really nice. Lucy's cupcake - the small part I got to eat - was a 5 out of 5. The frosting was of the cream cheese variety which is my favorite. 

After, Lucy walked/run the entire way home - which is nearly a mile. All that sugar went to good use! Such a fun night - can't wait to do it again.
