We've been having fun putting up Christmas decorations over the last few days, and Trader Joes has lent a hand in the efforts. I picked up this wreath at TJs for $10 - it's Boxwood. I just needed to add a few things to spruce it up. For Thanksgiving we went to Hydes, MD, where Peter, Amy and the kids live. Amy had rose hips in her table centerpiece and she picked them from the field in their backyard. I was thrilled to pick some myself as we did this as kids in WI. Every fall we picked tons of these berriers, bundled them and sold for $3 a bundle to the local craft stores. My sister and I made enough money to buy new skis and a snowboard one year - it was lots of fun, if you can handle all the prickers. So I got to work and picked some for our Boxwood wreath.

I also got this table piece from TJs for $5.99 and added the candle and rose hips to it too. Andrew made a delish panettone french toast seen on the right.
On Saturday we went to get a tree the quickest way we know possible - Lowes. It's a good tree. I'm happy with it. Lucy liked the 2 foot trees that are her height.
And here is what I find her doing while I'm putting the decorations up.
