Up Late with Old Town

Good news - Old Town boutiques will be open until 8PM on Thursdays in May & June.

When we lived in Dupont Circle, one of my go-to gift shops was TableTop and they are open until 8 on week nights. The Ann Taylor Loft is open til 9, and I don't think Kramer books ever closed.

I love living in Old Town, but as someone who loves to shop after work a huge frustration has been how early the shops close during the week. There are currently a few Old Town boutiques I want to check out - before I had no reason to go in. The first is Apple Seed. Unfortunately, they close at 6PM on most week nights, meaning no way I can get there. The other is 529 Kids Consign, and their hours are 10AM-5PM most week days. Are these places for stay at home moms only? One of the only place that I can frequent during the week is Anthropologie , as they are open til 8. Hopefully the boutiques will turn a profit in these later hours and follow suit, at least through the summer months.
