Starting Traditions

This weekend we had fun sharing with Lucy some of the holiday traditions both Andrew and I had as kids. For me, this meant cooking making and celebrating St. Nick. For Andrew it meant gingerbread house making and decorating. And living in Old Town, Alexandria, we now have new family traditions of watching the Scottish Christmas Parade and letting Lucy pick out an ornament at the Christmas Attic. She chose the Santa - no surprise as she loves him. Gifts from St. Nick!
We set up the tree and other decorations the night before - St. Nick brought those too.
Then we let Lucy help decorate the tree in the morning.
