I signed up for the class a month ago - before the new studio opened. A first timer pays $19 and there are only 11 spots per class.
We got there early and was surprised the whole place was only the one studio with 11 machines - each person to a machine.
Since so many people were new, Julie the instructor arranged us so we were next to someone more experienced. I was next to Peggy Sue - she has done about a dozen of these classes at their Ballston location.
The 50 minute class is spent on a machine called a megaformer working different muscles in a slow, low-impact way. There are tension ropes underneath the machine that you adjust throughout.
The class was tough - my muscles were shaking and that is the goal. Muscle fatigue, Julie says. Of course we had fun with it the whole time.
But the hardest part of the 50 minute class was watching the people out the window walk by with boxes of doughnuts! Love that Solidcore is next door to the Sugar Shack. :)
