The triple crown of weather

This weekend was the triple crown of perfect weather weekends in Old Town. Friday night started with dinner at Tavern Cretekou. They have a great outdoor patio and garden area that we love and they are surprisingly child friendly. Our waitor has worked there for 20 years and the place opened in 1973 - an institution. We had so much fun.

Saturday morning stated with a 5 am wake call by little Miss Luc so we went to the farmers market on the early side. We pushed Lucy in the stroller so she could take a nap on the way there. We needed naps too! Natalie met up with us and we got peaches, asparagus, apricots and blueberries. Andrew made a delish dessert with the later two.

That afternoon we checked out the Old Town pool on Wythe and Henry. We loved going to the DC public pools when we lived in Dupont so wanted to check out the OT scene. Cost was $3 for adults and $2 for children. Turns out this pool specifically is for children under 13 accompanied by an adult. It was perfect.  There was shade and reclining chairs - not shown on the website so we were afraid it was going to be a short visit but we played for about 2 hours. Baby Gracie and her mom met up with us and Lucy had a blast splashing around. She was really into it. Pics not allowed at the pool. Will respect it.

Looking forward to more pool fun this coming weekend!
