Library Time

Last Tuesday I took Lucy to the Beatley Library on Duke Street for the Baby Rhyme Time class. The Alexandria City Libraries offer two "classes" for babies (0-12 mo.). The other is on Mondays at Duncan Library in Del Ray and Andrew is going to take Lucy this coming Monday since he has off for the holiday. We had a ton of fun. There were about 12-15 other moms/dads with their babies and an instructor. We sang nursery rhymes and the crawling babies were on the move trying to bat at each other while babbling. Lucy sat in my lap (she has good control of her head) and watched it all in awe. She was the youngest at 3 months. It was the quietest I have seen her and the first time she has expressed interest in other babies. Hopefully this is a good sign that she will do well at daycare, which she starts on Thursday.

Speaking of the library, I managed to find a little time during maternity leave to read two books (non-baby related). I rented both from the Alexandria Library's eBook collection which I then download onto my kindle through Amazon. I am on the wait list for a few more eBooks including Sisterland and Lean In.

On our way home! She had fun.
