Dining out with a baby

We have been out to dinner a few times as a family since Lucy's arrival. She stays in her cat seat, is placed in a booth, and sleeps through it all - we couldn't ask for better!

Last week we went to The Majestic when the Hollands were in town. The Majestic makes everything in house, expect for the butter which is made by the local Amish. Some highlights of the meal included: the cod fritters, NY steak, scallops, and the desserts. The desserts were to die for - we had the coconut cake and key lime pie. Hopefully I can convince Andrew to take me back for a drink and dessert at their fun bar sometime soon. Not that it will take much convincing!

We also have been to Faccia Luna in south OT with Lucy. This is a staple for us and our go-to pizza place. Just a few blocks away, it seems to be an easy and quick trip out and it is very child friendly. We love it.

Last Friday night as the Hollands watched Lucy, Andrew and I went to dinner and a movie. We go to the AMC movie theater off of Eisenhower Ave so thought it would be easy to get dinner nearby. We found Yves' Bistro on Yelp and gave it a try. We learned that this restaurant opened after their previous location closed in 2004. Au Pied de Cochon was in Georgetown for over 30 years in the spot on WI Ave that is now the Five Guys. Andrew knew it well, but I don't remember. We did not expect live entertainment at Yves', but that's what we got. Very amusing!
